The Financial Year Calendar

Each financial year in payroll contains pre-defined weeks and months which are used to determine the reporting month in which a payrun is included. This is referred to as the financial year calendar. For example, if you define weeks 1 to 4 in the month of July, then when you process a pay with any of those week numbers, it is automatically included in the July reporting month.

Financial Year Calendar vs. Annual Calendar:

payroll has two types of calendars which are used to set payrun dates:

  • The standard annual dd/mm/yyyy calendar which ranges from January to December of the calendar year.
  • The financial year calendar ranging from July through to June, which has either four or five weeks per month. Both calendars can be viewed at step 2 of the payrun.
